The following is a list of items needed by My Sisters’ Place. These items are for people who are starting over or are experiencing independent living for the first time. Items must be clean and in good condition or working order. At certain times during the year, this list may also contain items to make the holidays special for residents. Please email Celia Tvrdik at celiat@sistersplacect.org or call Celia at (860) 549-1634 to arrange a time for delivery. Unfortunately, we do not possess the staff or the resources for pick-up.

Household items

  • Twin size sheets and mattress pads
  • Towels

Paper Goods

  • Paper towels

  • Disposable plates, cutlery

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Cleaning Supplies (bleach, floor cleaner, disinfecting wipes, mops, brooms, sponges, etc)
  • Disposable Latex gloves
  • Sturdy Garbage bags (30 Gal)
  • Trash bags (kitchen size)
  • Light Bulbs 60 or 75 Watt
  • Paint brushes, rollers
  • Latex paint (antique white, eggshell)
  • Gift Cards for Home Depot (for maintenance supplies)

Personal Items

  • Deodorant
  • Anitbacterial hand soap
  • Feminine Products
  • Lotion
  • Gift cards to CVS, Walmart,etc.

Food

  • Gift cards to grocery stores: One of our biggest expenses is from feeding 16 people three meals a day! Help provide our women and children with healthy fresh foods like veggies, fruit, milk, etc by donating grocery gift cards!
  • Non-perishable food
  • Perishable food such as milk, cheese, butter, bread, fruits and vegetables
