My name is Johana Diaz and I’m a mother of 2 beautiful children. Jennifer, age 9 and my baby boy Damian, age 3. My children mean everything to me.

I am so honored to be able to share my story with you. My Sisters’ Place has changed my life, and I am so grateful for their help.

I have been through so much pain, both emotionally and physically. I thank God everyday because he has been with me through my struggles. I also know that there is hope for a better future. It brings tears of joy to my heart to know that there are people out there who worry about people like me….people in need. My Sisters’ Place came into my life and made a difference, and I am so grateful for that opportunity.

There are no words that can express how safe and happy I feel. The staff is wonderful and I feel a sense of love and security. The staff provides a great deal of support, and they truly care about my family and me. Valerie and Cheryl go out of their way to make sure I’m well taken care of. Kristen, the youth worker, has been such a blessing to all of the children. They all do such an amazing job.

My Sisters’ Place is a very special and unique place. And, who ever has the privilege to be a member or part of My Sisters’ Place is very fortunate. I will always cherish this moment and I will also hope that someday in my life I can give back what My Sisters’ Place gave me…a home, support, and guidance.
